Adorable Frog Cards
Good Morning Crafty Peeps
I am a part of the Handmade Happiness group on Facebook, hosted by the fabulous Courtney Kreeber. I'm sure many of you know her from fer You Tube channel. We are a group of 21, a smaller group in Handmade Happiness that are doing monthly blog hops with supplies we have had lying around forever. This moths theme is Critters and/or stencils. Here is a link to the next blog in the hop CraftyannaStudio
I made 2 cards for this months blog hop using Rabbit Hole Designs mini release. The stamp and stencil is no longer a set but you can still get them individually. Can you believe I don't have many critter stamps. I will be using some in the coming months of our blog hops. This is the background I made for my first card. I used Salty Ocean and Lucky Clover Oxides that I watered down and painted on. I then took a stencil and added Gesso through that. It is faint but you can see it better in person. Next I took the Salty Ocean Distress spray and flicked big drops of that on.
I then took the adorable frog and heat embossed it on some watercolor paper. I water colored this frog in 3 different colors and stacked them together. I added the sentiment Heard you got a bug, that comes with this fun stamp. I used a stitched rectangle die from Pink Fresh Studios.
I added that panel to the front on my standard A2 sized card, which is 4.25 x 5.50. This card is a top folding card. I seem to prefer the top folding style card most of the time.
This is my second card using the stamp and stencil. On the stencil there is cattails, a fly, a dragonfly, a bee and the motion lines for the fly or bee. The lily pad and cattail behind the frog were cut from my Cricut. I used at different stitched rectangle die from Gina Marie Deigns. She has some great dies and at amazing prices. I used the new Distress Oxide Ink in Speckled Egg for the sky portion and Peacock Feathers and Lucky Clover Distress Ink for the grassy area. I added the cattails with the stencil. The frog is popped up on foam tape on top of the lily pad. This fabulous hop idea came from Karen who is a part of our Handmade Happiness Group. She spent some long hours getting this all together for all of us to enjoy! You can find her at Misplaced Mojo
